The “Delusion” Factor

Sometimes the truth hurts.

Yet as they saying goes: “The truth shall set you free.”

So I have to be bluntly honest about what I’ve been seeing these past few years. It’s a pattern that keeps smart women from reaching the levels of success they desire in their business. (And for that matter, in their life, too.)

It’s what I call the “Delusion Factor”.

I’ve suffered from it. Chances are you have a case of it as well.

But it’s not fatal. It’s 100% curable. And life AFTER “D.F.” is bigger and better than you can imagine.

What IS the “Delusion Factor?”…

– It’s the plague that hypnotizes women into believing that their dreams can be achieved simply by thinking positive thoughts, repeating affirmations, and sitting around with a smile on your face waiting for a golden Key (that unlocks your wildest dreams) to flutter down from the cosmos and land in your lap.

– Or how about one of my favorite symptoms: when you jump a’board the Certification-Cyclone, spending tons of time (and money) gobbling up countless trainings + certifications in the hopes of one day feeling worthy enough to begin living that mission of yours.

– Another all-too-common symptom shows up as endless buzzing about, working your buns off, staying in constant motion, and having lists a mile long – in the hopes that enough aimless action will one day = accomplishment. But instead of soaring, you’re sinking. Fast.

These are “delusional” because they follow a mythology that’s simply NOT true.

1. You can think the happiest thoughts and visualize your goals till the cows come home. Thing is, if you stop there, then your results will be dismal (at best).

But if you learn to lighten up AND listen up to those gut feelings, intuitive nudges and inner “knowings” – and then take massive – then you’ve hit the Mother-load!

2. You can have a million certifications and be a big, giant dork. You also can have 0 certifications and be the most brilliant person on the planet in your area of expertise.

At the end of the day, it’s your confidence, faith and skills that count most. (and no amount of certifications, degrees or training can guarantee that you have these 3 core traits).

3. You’ve been dipped neck-deep into a culture that praises hard work over smart work. But just because you’re working your fingers to the bone doesn’t necessarily mean that your actions are productive.

Some of the busiest people I know are wasting 98% of their time burning themselves out (mostly because no one ever taught them the right actions).  So the clearer you are about the results you desire, the more you can stay focused on the work that actually works.

Now, hold up – let me make sure I’m being 100% clear…

I’m NOT saying that the Law of Attraction, certifications, and hard work are bad. Quite the opposite.

I’m NOT saying that miracles can’t happen or divine guidance doesn’t play a big role. …Au Contraire!

But if you don’t have some seriously wicked confidence, faith in your abilities, a savvy game plan, and oh-so-smart actions… well… your results will fizzle and fall flat.

If you’re not willing to be uncomfortable, stretch your possibilities, take some risks, and embrace some bold moves, you’re done for. Game over.

Business (and life) are a divine dance. A pretty puzzle. A sumptuous sauce.  And when all the parts are swirled together “just so” – then magic begins to bubble.

So where does YOUR mojo-mix stand today? Are you living a life that’s fabulous and fulfilling? Are you making a difference in the lives of others? Are you living as an example of what it means to be Unstoppable?

Here’s the scoop:

Yes, I have massive miracles land in my lap. …A LOT, actually. But it’s not because I sit around 24-7 in a perfectly energetically aligned state.

• I’ve spent the past 23 years doing some pretty hard-core work on myself.
• I am ruthless when it comes unraveling my limiting beliefs.
• I am hungry to push myself past my comfort zone.
• I am endlessly up-leveling my life, and my business.
• I try to always stay in the flow, and roll’ with what life hands me.
• I keep my butt in spiritual momentum.
• I learn everything I can about marketing + business building.
• I don’t let things go until I’ve chewed down to their very core.

DISCLAIMER: Make no mistake. I’m not doing all this out of  panic, lack or fear. I’m doing this because it’s what I’m called to do. And truth-be-told, it’s gosh-darn fulfilling!

Miracles happen to me often because I am willing to do whatever it takes.  These (seeming) miracles may look “easy” from the outside – but pull back the curtains and you’ll see one passionate, red-headed Mama.

If your life isn’t getting you the returns you were hoping, then it’s time to uplevel your vision, your actions, and your belief in yourself.

Of course, I have lousy moments like anyone else. Yes, I have doubts. Of course I get lost in wheel-spinning, time wasting and avoidance sometimes.

BUT…

The more I take action and stay in the flow, the more miracles appear.  So don’t be afraid to go for the gold, and WORK for those miracles!  Don’t hesitate to throw yourself into the deep end of the entrepreneurial pool (and learn to swim along the way).

Don’t sit around waiting for the stars to align, or for all your little yellow duckies to waddle into a perfect, yellow row. (quack, quack)

Stay open. Keep moving. And get yourself ready.  What you want IS possible. (But unfortunately the way you’ve been taught to get it is back-asswards.)

Keep movin. Keep shakin. And keep taking massive action!
